01.29.2008 REUSE!
Because an item can be recycled, extra consumption is often considered acceptable. Recycling is the last of the 3R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). 11.08.2007 Energy Conservation at School
Laptops plugged in for hours on end use up unnecessary energy and are bad for the battery life of laptops over the long term. Once your laptop is fully charged, unplug it and use up the battery before plugging in again. Saves energy and takes better care of your laptop battery.
11.01.2007 Computer Monitors
There is a common misconception that screensavers reduce energy use by monitors; they do not. Setting your computer to automatically switch to sleep mode or manually turning your computer off is always the better energy-saving strategy.
