Although the Fall semester is an especially busy period for the GFA, the club sponsors activities all year long. Our 2009-2010 calendar is still evolving. Alumni Cocktail Hour (September 2009)

The GFA hosts an alumni cocktail hour early in the fall to provide the opportunity for members to jumpstart their networking and career search.

Weekly GFA Hours (Fall 2009)

The GFA Hour is a panel series where industry experts speak of their experience in their particular discipline, such as investment banking, corporate finance, sales and trading, research, and general finance. Lunch is provided.

Annual GFA Conference (October 2009)

The Conference is designed to provide GFA members interested in careers in finance with educational panel discussions and with networking opportunities. The conference includes a keynote address, several educational panels, and a networking cocktail function. For more information see the GFA Conference web page.

Case Competitions (Fall 2009 and Spring 2010)

The GFA is the liaison for J.P. Morgan’s annual case competition. The GFA also sponsors several other case competitions.

Training the Street Seminars (January 2010, March & April 2010)

The GFA organizes TTS educational seminars for members and works with corporate sponsors to defray the cost. The valuation seminar is held immediately prior to January interviews and the modeling seminar is held in the spring semester.

Boutique Investment Bank Reception (Spring 2010)

Each spring the GFA sponsors a networking panel with boutique firms for members searching for summer internships in finance.
