The Graduate Finance Association, commonly known as GFA, is Stern's largest student-run organization, with an active membership of over 1,000 students and a much larger alumni network. Our goal is to prepare students for finance-related careers, including investment banking, investment management, sales and trading, commercial banking, and general corporate finance.

This goal is attained through a host of educational and networking activities, such as our weekly GFA Hour speaker series and our annual GFA Conference. We also provide training workshops that prepare our members for the interview process and the summer associate internship.
